A home inspection is an objective assessment of the visible condition of the property by an unbiased, trained professional. It is intended to assist in the evaluation of the overall condition of a home and is not a pass/fail proposition. During a home inspection, the inspector will visually inspect virtually every space and operational system in the home. The result is a comprehensive report that details any visible conditions and defects that affect the home.

The average time for a home inspection is about three hours; however, there are many variables to consider. A small house, where many issues are discovered and reported on, can take longer than a larger house with few issues. Because each accessible room/space is reported on, the more complex the property is, the longer the inspection will take. At Profile Inspections, LLC, we’ll take the time to insure the home is thoroughly inspected and to explain our findings to the client as well as answering any questions they may have.

Profile Inspections, LLC performs all home inspections in accordance with The NAHI (National Association of Home Inspectors) Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. NAHI Home Inspectors follow strict reporting guidelines and provide detailed written disclosure of all visible defects and conditions found.

Reports are generally emailed to you, the buyer and your agent (with your authorization) within twenty-four hours after the physical inspection is completed. We welcome clients to contact us if they have any questions or require clarification on any issue raised in the report.

Although everything present in the property is reported on, there are limitations as to what is inspected.

• The inspection is visual and non-intrusive.
- furniture such as a sofa or a bookcase will not be moved to test the electrical outlet behind them.

• The inspection will not include areas that can not be safely accessed.
- weather conditions, roofing materials, or the slope may prevent the inspector from walking on the roof.
- crawlspaces with limited height and attics that cannot be safely traversed will not be entered.
